Michael Baer (Lead Pastor)
Pastor Michael moved to Norman Park in 2020 and is now a retired firefighter after 20 years of service. His first Sunday with Southside was on November 1, 2020. He is a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University and holds a Masters Degree in Pastoral Ministry from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Michael has been married to the love of his life, Dana. They have two grown boys together: Ethan (married to Sarah Jo) and Derrek. Michael enjoys Kentucky Wildcat basketball, traveling, spending time with his family, and making the gospel known to all.
Jody Parker (Youth Pastor)
Jody serves as the Youth Pastor here at Southside. Jody and his wife Beth are both graduates of Colquitt County High School. Jody works as an RSR for Frito Lay while his wife has been a nurse. They have three daughters — Josie, Maggie Rae, and Bailey. Jody enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family while Beth loves to shop and enjoy her family.
